 What: Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS)

When: Wednesday, October 2, 2013  Two (2) separate training sessions: attend either the morning session from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM 
Where: United Way of York County’s Community Room (800 East King Street, York).
What’s it about:  Daily contact with chemicals occurs more than you realize. Every year we are exposed to thousands of chemicals. This workshop will focus on OSHA’s requirements and discuss some of the changes to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). Also, you will learn how to read a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), to identify container labels, and to realize the importance of protecting ourselves from hazardous materials.  OSHA requires that employees be trained by December 1, 2013.  Everyone will receive a MSDS pocket dictionary.  Certificate of Attendance is available upon request when made prior to workshop.
Instructor: Scott Snyder (Senior Safety Representative and Authorized OSHA Instructor).
Cost: $25 for YALMC members and $35 for non-members.
